HTC U11 Plus Review: Specs, Features and Price
HTC U11 Plus is the latest offering of the flagship U series from the Taiwanese smartphone giant. It serves as a midlife upgrade of its predecessor, the U11. At first look, this phone, with its shiny glass body, translucent back and elegant proportions appears to be a mere facelift of the phone it replaces. But, dig a little deeper and you will find that it packs a bigger punch with a host of nifty features that will make life easier for the sophisticated user it intends to attract.
U11 Plus is powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Chipset with an Octa core (2.45 GHz), 64 bit processor and 6 GB RAM which is at par with its current competition in the market. But the company has an upper hand in providing the latest version of Android – Oreo.
HTCU11 Plus is a little heavier than its predecessor with a weight of 188 grams but comes with the certification of IP68 for dust and water resistant promising better safety. It also has the easily accessible fingerprint sensor at the back.
It comes with latest generation of LCD technology viz-a-viz LCD-6 (1440 x2880 pixels), which sets it apart from competition who are still using AMOLED technology. It makes the display so much more legible in sunny conditions. The screen size is of 6 inches with screen protection of Corning Gorilla Glass v5. It boasts of a screen to body ratio of 78.26% which is better than the flagship offerings of most of its Japanese competitors.

In U11 plus, HTC is offering 128 GB of internal storage with an expandable memory of up to 2TB. It comes with two SIM slots, out of which, one is a NANO (Hybrid) slot, making the phone compatible with both SIM as well as a memory card. HTC has set a new benchmark in its segment by giving a battery with rated capacity of 3930 mAH coupled with quick charging option.
It also has the novel feature of squeezable frame, used for Edge Sensor function. This works by squeezing the phone through which one can control a pre selected array of functions as well as some apps. This gives a new dimension to the intuitive smartphone usage.

The U11 Plus comes with 8 MP Selfie camera, and 12 MP Main camera (Resolution 4000 x 3000 pixels) with dual LED Flash and video recording of 1920 x 1080 resolution at 30 fps. The picture quality of U11 Plus is crisp and dual pixel autofocus is fast. Because of the HDR Boost, the sharpness of the images is good in all light conditions. One can capture great details owing to its noise reduction technology. The phone has 4 Omni directional microphones, which record sound from 360 degrees in Acoustic Focus option, making your videos boast of a surround sound effect.
